Service

All railroads require periodic maintenance, repair and trouble-shooting. It's tough to bring your railroad into the shop so we'll come to you. This is done material plus labor on either a retainer basis or on-call hourly. Primarily servicing the Southern California area.

Maintenance

Routine maintenance includes track cleaning, lubrication, dusting, adjustment and inspection. This includes the layout and possibly motive power and rolling stock.

Repair

This includes the repair of mechanical and electrical elements as needed either by inspection or from 'trouble tickets' accumulated between maintenance visits.

Trouble-Shooting

Sometimes electrical gremlins or trackwork deficiencies arise over time and require attention. Naturally NKP prides itself on trouble-free systems but 100% reliability is not possible.

Alterations

We can do alterations, additions and modifications to existing layouts. This may or may not require intial planning and electrical updates, but we can handle anything up to a complete rebuild.
